Scripture also uses some of these expressions to refer to other works of the Holy Spirit. Baptism in the Holy Spirit always refers to what happened to the disciples at Pentecost. Therefore, the expression, "baptized in the Holy Spirit" will be the one used in this.

The phrase "baptized in the Holy Spirit" occurs two times in Acts of the Apostles, first in Acts –5 and second in Acts Other terminology is used in Acts to indicate Spirit baptism, such as "filled". " Baptized in the Spirit" indicates an outward immersion into the reality of the Holy Spirit, while "filled with the Spirit" suggests an internal diffusion.
That’s why Pentecostalism is succeeding the way it does, because they’re right on this. They’re right to say that to have the Holy Spirit is to have a reality that one experiences.
Two Different Uses. It’s important that we clarify the meaning of biblical terms like “baptism in (or with) the Holy Spirit” because it is a biblical term.
